U.S. Embassy Honors Mexican Firm for Contributions to Trade
Medium-Size Mexican Firm Recognized for Successful Partnerships
with American Firms

May 23, 2008 - U.S. Embassy Minister-Counselor for Commercial
Affairs Karen L. Zens presented the U.S. Commerce Department’s
Certificate of Appreciation for Achievement in Trade award
to Grupo Industrial SECNER, S.A. de C.V., a medium-sized,
Mexico City-based oil and gas services firm. The award is
presented to organizations that have partnered with the U.S.
Commercial Service to promote U.S. export growth and trade
in their home country. The award was presented during a brief
ceremony in the U.S. Trade Center in Mexico City.
“The United States and Mexico do over one billion of dollars
of business every day, and there’s no better time to recognize
Grupo Industrial SECNER, S.A. de C.V. for its efforts in developing
strong relationships with American firms in the energy sector,”
said Zens. "I congratulate SECNER on their continued
efforts in supporting expanded business ties between the United
States and Mexico.”
